Monastic Schedule

This is our usual monastic schedule. It may vary on certain solemnities and days of community celebration.


Monday - Saturday

5:20 AM – Rising Bell

5:50 AM – Office of Readings and Morning Prayer

7:20 AM – Mass

Breakfast after Mass until 8:45

9:20 AM – Bell for Midmorning Prayer

9:40-11:30 AM – Work Time

11:30 AM – Bell for Midday Prayer

12:00 PM – Dinner

1:00-1:30 PM – Recreation

1:30–2:30 PM – Silence Hour

2:40 PM – Rosary followed by Midafternon Prayer

3:15-4:50 PM – Work Time or Meetings

4:50 PM – Bell for Vespers

5:35 PM – Supper

6:35 PM – Bell for Recreation (except Saturday, when there is no recreation)

7:30 PM – Bell for Compline and Benediction (7:20 on Saturdays)



Sundays

Same as weekday, except:

5:50 AM – Morning Prayer

7:00 AM – Mass

9:20 AM – Bell for Office of Readings and Midmorning Prayer

Extra time for prayer, study, etc.

Rosary is said privately on Sunday

6:30 PM – Bell for Recreation

7:50 PM – Bell for Compline and Benediction
